History was made in the skies of Fort Rucker as the U.S. Army executed its first-ever air-to-air kill with an armed first-person view (FPV) drone. Armed with a claymore mine, the drone took down the opposing unmanned aircraft during a dogfight as it detonated. The demonstration took place at Tabernacle Field ahead of the U.S. Army Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Summit.
