Russia Just Found Out They’re LOSING the UAV War… Too Late to Stop It

A massive fire ripped through the Lukoil-Volgogradneftepererabotka refinery on August 14, halting a facility that processes over 15 million tons of oil per year—5.6% of Russia’s refining capacity. Ukraine’s military confirmed its drones carried out the strike, part of a sustained campaign to cripple Russian fuel production.

This attack follows a string of August UAV operations hitting key refineries in Sochi, Saratov, and infrastructure in Bryansk, knocking out an estimated 10% of Russia’s refining capacity. With production drops reported in Saratov, Ryazan, Samara, and Volgograd, and fuel prices nearing $2.93 per gallon, Ukraine’s drone strategy is reshaping the war’s energy front.

  4. Well, the "debris" excuse might be accurate. You see, you can shoot down the drone, but you may not destroy the warhead. So if you shoot it down, and the intact warhead lands on its target…well, you get the picture.
We lost several troops in Desert Storm when the warhead of an "intercepted" SCUD landed on a barracks.

  5. Does it even matter if it was the drone it self that caused the fire or if it was the debris from drone that caused the fire?! The goal off the drone have been accomplished, make it burn! "We shoot it down, yes it still caught fire" seem like kinda stupid thing to say! :D

  6. It was Not a Ukrainian drone that hit and damaged one of Russia’s largest oil refineries. It was, instead, after Covid, a nearby strategic toilet paper reserve that became infused with methane swamp gas and on a cloudless night was struck by a bolt of lightning that caused the massive fire and days of black smoke!
