RetroAchievements + Crash 3 = Losing My Mind!

Note: For time trials remember you can slow down playback speed! Otherwise this video would have been 5 hours long :)

I mastered every single achievement in Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped on the original PlayStation — the RetroAchievements set pushed me to my absolute limit. From brutal platinum relic time trials to 100% box gems, hidden secrets, and boss fights, this run tested every ounce of patience I had. What was once the easiest Crash Bandicoot game has been twisted into a sadistic challenge, and after hundreds of deaths (and more than a few meltdowns), I can finally say: Crash 3 is mastered.

RetroAchievements is a free fan-made achievement system for classic consoles. You can track my profile and progress here:

If you enjoy nostalgic PS1 games, sarcastic commentary, and watching me suffer through insane challenges, you’re in the right place.

  2. Before the set was delisted, I mastered Crash Bash on RA. Something I won't be doing a second time when a new set takes it's place (Assuming it does) because it's the only mastery that's ever broken me.

  3. Funny thing about Eggipus Rex. It’s supposed to have its own time trial times but due to some programming screw up it got Dino Might’s time trial times. Meaning you can screw around a good amount and still get the platinum relic. I think this was fixed in the N Sane Trilogy. Also I suspect that the one achievement in Tiny Tiger’s boss fight (the one where you can only move up and down) was put there is because you can easily cheese the lion part of the fight by hiding in the upper left corner of the arena so the lions can’t touch you

  4. It's probably been told to you before but the Time Trials for Eggipus Rex and Hot Coco are bugged in all versions but the Pal Region. The game never properly loads their times and so instead keeps the time requirements from Orange Asphault and Dino Might.

  5. For the purpose of the video, I completely understand doing all of the time trials in the level chronological order.
When I did my mastery of Warped back in January, my strategy was to do some of the harder platinum relics first, that way I felt like I was rewarding myself with the easier ones. Definitely made a difference on my mental sanity with this game, and also with my recent mastery of Crash Bandicoot: The Huge Adventure on the GBA, which I have the least familiarity with among the standard platforming games of the series.
Glad to see this video finally out however. :D
