For my first #hamradio in trucking setup, I had brought along my multiband #dipole antenna, and procured a 6 foot long, extendable window washer’s pole, some clamps and some paracord.

I had a 34hour reset in Kingman, so I dropped my trailer and drove the truck to a trailhead parking area to try out the setup. I couldn’t get the antenna high enough with the ends tied off to stakes in the ground, but I DID manage to make a couple of contacts as a proof of concept. It’s not pretty, but it did work.
