Well, Ukrainians are geniuses! In a figurative sense, when they started asking for F16 planes to fight drones, and they were very unwise when they tried to use these fighters to fight the drone attack. Later, when they lost 12 supplied F16 fighters on this drone hunt, it dawned on them that this was not what they wanted, that the fighters were a very stupid idea.

The numbers don’t jive. 50 kills over 300 missions but the government is claiming that this set up is responsible for 10-12% of drones killed every day? So either you don’t really have a drone problem or this is some sort of low tech nonsense propaganda. That is a kill roughly every 6th sortie. How TF does that equate to 10-12% a day? This is the problem I’ve been having with both sides of the fight. I expect propaganda from both sides but both sides engage in such ridiculous claims I can’t take either side seriously. This seems like propaganda aimed at showing off the desperation of Ukraine having to resort to WWI era tactics. It is a grift designed to trick people into sending them more money. Meanwhile his uniform is so fresh out of the package it still has all the threads from production all over it. Just like the grift the Russians have done for decades now making everyone think they are this power house and global threat, meanwhile they can hardly sustain a logistic chain into a neighboring country. One side is made up of thugs and the other side is filled with scammers. Let them fight.

Seems like Ukraine would find handy to have some L-159 jets to get down drones like that. Those are much cheaper than valuable F-16 but still having very similar weaponry while much faster than that ancient Soviet Yak ✈️
