  1. The biggest comedy I've seen is internet people commenting as if their opinion/suggestion is far better than people who are actively serving in the front lines. While they're sitting comfortably, unemployed (probably still at 10th grade) sprawled all over their bed.

  2. This is a Strela-10M4, a modernised variant that swaps the optical system for a FLIR system for tracking and replaces the older twin channel conical scanning missiles for the 9M333 missiles which use a cooled multispectral seeker which operate on three channels being photocontrast, UV and IR with IRCCM along with a more powerful all digital pseudoimaging system. It was an offshoot of the 9K333 Verba system.

This makes them nigh impervious to regular flares and IRCM systems. However is still vulnerable to DIRCM.

Around 90 Strela-10s were modernized to this level and along with the 20+ Gibka-S systems make up Russias modern IR based point defence systems.

USA has been very slow to modernize with them only testing their Red Wasp last year, the system stated to replace the ageing Stingers, it will either use the above kind of system or an IIR seeker.

  3. These are literally the joke of the world. Along with the BUKS ahahaha my god are they useless AA. Ukrainian drones have free reign all over Russia. Look at their refineries and trains and many more things getting hit.

  4. "xy million dollar missile against 100 dollar drone" its still fuckin cheaper than loosing the whole SPAA/Tank or something else that might become a target. Ofc there might be cheaper options, but if you dont have the time and are on the frontline, its hard to find another solution

  5. I think they only use the missiles for the actual drones we know not the fpv drones . They are hit with their own drones . Etc I don’t see much logic in always using a missile like that to hunt £100 drones . Unless necessary
