Zelensky’s Christmas Gift: How Ukraine Destroyed a Russian Warship in Crimea
In this video, we will show you the aftermath of a huge strike on a Russian landing ship in occupied Crimea, which resulted in a massive explosion and a fireball that could be seen from miles away. The attack, which was carried out by Ukraine on Christmas Day, has led to the destruction of the Novocherkassk military vessel, which normally carries 87 men. The governor of the territory confirmed that at least one person had been killed and six buildings were forced to be evacuated as a result of the blast.
This is the latest in a series of attacks targeting Russian warships in the Black Sea, as Ukraine continues to fight against Vladimir Putin’s troops after his illegal invasion in February 2022. The Novocherkassk is believed to be one of only a few warships that Russia had not moved further east for safety after previous Ukrainian strikes. Many had been moved from major naval port Sevastopol to Novorossiysk to be further from Ukraine’s missile range. Over the past four months, 20% of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet has been destroyed, and the new UK & Norway-led Maritime Capability Coalition is helping to ensure Ukraine will win at sea.
Watch this video to learn more about the details of this daring naval attack, the reactions of the leaders of both countries, and the implications for the future of the region. Don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe for more updates on the conflict in Crimea.
