US targets Houthi targets in Yemen, destroys drones over Red Sea following missile strike on Israel
As the Israel-Houthi rivalry intensifies in the Middle East, US joins Israel in unleashing its wrath on the Houthis in Yemen. In a recent turn of events, US military carried out precision airstrikes on a missile facility, command centre in Yemen’s Sanaa operated by Iran-backed Houthis. US attacked Yemen’s rebel-controlled capital hours after missile fired by Houthi rebels hit central Israeli city of Tel Aviv, injuring several people. The operations included attacks on US Navy warships and merchant vessels in the Southern Red Sea, Bab al-Mandeb, and the Gulf of Aden. In addition to missile and command facilities, the US military also struck multiple Houthi one-way drones and an anti-ship cruise missile over the Red Sea
