By eliminating Russian oil refineries they’re forcing Russia to sell oil that they’d otherwise refine. This adds cheap Russian oil to the global oil supply which will drive DOWN global oil prices REDUCING fuel prices in the United States.

I have asked this a hundred times and nobody could answer me. Refineries convert crude oil into products such as fuel and others. If Russia has no more refineries left, then Russia will have less fuel but more crude oil because the crude oil does not disappear. Refinery capacity however is no bottleneck for the international economy. Many countries have refineries themselves, in particular I do not believe that the U. S. are dependent on Russian refineries. How should it become a problem for world economy if Russia has less refined products but more crude oil instead?

As I understand it Uk restricted conscriptions to older men so as not to sacrifice the future of the country by having the young men and women die in the fighting. I may be wrong but I thought this was a good policy. As ever thank you Paul and the team. x

Russia placed a ban on oil product export while ago. these attacks aren't affecting the current price a whole lot, except for those who were buying it cheap up to then, like India and China. But then, it's one thing to sit on our armchairs and moralize and support the defense of Ukraine, but it's another to bear the financial cost of our beliefs and convictions too.
Can't NATO just use these funds for weapon manufacturing and then countries themselves do the hand over of weapons to Ukraine. NATO just has the funds to make the weapons.. ?
