Do not be fooled into thinking that just because it is on the FAA’s list that the DJI Avata is actually compliant with the Standard Remote ID rule, because right now it appears not to be. What’s more, in order to become compliant, you will have to fly with your smartphone connected to your goggles at all times. This also means the Avata should not be able to fly in areas where you can’t get a GPS signal. How do you feel about that?
