Russian drones have once again entered Polish airspace, according to alerts from Ukraine’s Air Force, which reported that Shahed drones crossed into Poland overnight while heading toward the city of Zamość. In response, Poland scrambled fighter jets, placed its ground air-defense systems on maximum readiness, and confirmed that both Polish and allied aircraft were active in its skies. While Poland has not yet formally confirmed the latest violation, this follows earlier incidents—including two drones that crossed Poland’s border just days ago—underscoring the growing risk of spillover from Russia’s war on Ukraine.
