The Aprilia Tuareg 660 has a lovely induction sound, but that is overpowered by the wind noise at pace and the stock silencer is very quiet. The bike has some fuelling issues as well which are due to the Euro 5 restrictions, and the catalytic converter can get very hot, which some owners have found uncomfortable. The Arrow full exhaust removes the cat, sounds great, saves weight and in conjunction with the UpMap ECU re-flash device and the remap tune from@Gabro Racing Team it has also sorted out the throttle issues at 30-40mph. So it is pretty much a win win win.
In this video, I compare the sound of the stock bike, vs the Arrow Indy Race slip on silencer vs the Arrow full exhaust and silencer. I don’t want my bike to be obnoxiously loud, so it is nice to see, or rather hear that it is still not overpowering.
This video is best heard with headphones or a stereo speaker setup.
