Kind of Melodicer replica using Pam’s pro.
I came across a review of Vermona Melodicer that I liked. Particularly, the fact that you can make your way through series of looped patterns. I then tried to replicate the process via Pam’s Pro. I really like the result. You can easily identify repeated motifs but they change slightly over time, thanks to the very slow shift in the range from which pitches are randomly selected and then quantized. That said, I occasionally reset the seed, causing the shape of the pattern to change from time to time.
This melody gets its grit from the Three Body and feeds into the Bastl Cinnamon, which I use to spit out distorted bursts of noise. Bastl Basil spreads it out. Piston Honda delivers a peaceful drone, metallic and transparent.
Nibbler and Trinity perform the hesitant beat. I added a steady kick at some point via the Angle Grinder.
Orbit 3 and Swell Physics for very slow, subtle, random-esque modulation.
Modules I use:
ALM – Pamela’s Pro Workout
Schlappi Engineering – Three Body, Interstellar Radio, Angle Grinder and Nibbler
Bastl – Basil and Cinnamon
Industrial Music Electronics – Piston Honda mk3
Modbap – Trinity
Joranalogue – Orbit 3
Addac – Swell Physics
Expert Sleepers – ES 9
Intellijel – Quad VCA x2
Make Noise – Maths
