Iran struck the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel’s top scientific research centre, in a wave of missile strikes on the country late on Satuday night.
Active for nearly a century, the centre conducts research for Israel’s military technology, particularly in the fields of artificial intelligence and drones, both of which have been used extensively in Israel’s war on Gaza.
The strikes follow Israel’s attacks on Iran’s strategic infrastructure, including military bases, nuclear sites and scientists, top commanders and energy facilities.
