  2. 1:33:30 Linus, I’d love to use your link to buy some Vessi shoes. But I have feet a size or 2 larger than the biggest size they make. Any chances you can poke and or nudge them to up their sizes 1-2 sizes? <3

  3. Dude Facebook marketplace is UNBEARABLE. When I go to search something like "toolbox" it says "no results for toolbox within 16 miles" – but then shows me dozens of listings WITHIN MY CITY of items listed as "toolbox" – and then scattered throughout there are A. Completely unrelated listings B. Listings hundreds of miles away C. "Recently sold items". And then when I sort by nearest, ALL OF THE LISTINGS ARE UNRELATED TO MY SEARCH TERM. Another favorite of mine is searching something like "3080" and the first 3 dozen results are 2070s, 3060s, etc until 40 posts down is one that fits my EXACT SEARCH TERM. It's so infuriating and most times I use the app I end up rage closing it within minutes.

  4. Yeah seriously, these sales people for companies are so annoying. Even the ones at my job. Nobody wants to talk to them. They always lie or give incorrect information.

  5. 2:02:00 The thing is, you aren't going to avoid those risks by not letting your kid access social media. At some point they will access it and if you tell them they aren't allowed they will do it while hiding from you so you can't help them.

You mitigate the risks by being supportive and introducing them to it in a more controlled way and helping them understand how to use it.

As has been repeatedly shown with drugs and sex "just say no" doesn't work. Social media won't be any different, if their friends are on it (and they will be) they will get on it. Education and support are where it is at.

  6. After formerly selling TVs, I can say that people “not believing” in HDR most likely comes from never having a good enough display. If you have a low contrast tv with lower brightness, HDR is hardly an improvement. It definitely requires good enough hardware to really see a difference. I’d be curious to see a cheap vs mid range vs top tier video comparing HDR and SDR for untrained viewers.

  7. Has Linus ever discussed the idea of co-op ownership of LMG with his staff?

I feel for his staff who are contributing to the success of LMG. It seems like they get compensated fairly. They may have ownership we don’t know about.

But, there’s nothing like having equity in a successful business for people’s retirements, providing for dependants, and allowing people to live comfortably with a modest excess of money.

What Ludwig at Offbrand looks cool for a sustainable and reasonable work environment for employees. Plus they can have equity in the success.

Obviously, Co-op business introduce a lot of complexity with strategic planning with stakeholders and may not be a good fit for LMG.

  8. Windows store needs better search functions. I actually really enjoy being able to purchase anime from it rather then paying for streaming but the search functionality of the store is hot garbage

  9. I saw that thumbnail for split second way early on and my brain knew it was Hardware Canucks even though I rarely watch them. They have a very distinct look.
