How to Factory Reset Your TBS Tango 2

To factory reset your TBS Tango 2, the process primarily involves reflashing its firmware using the TBS Agent X software. First, ensure your Tango 2 is powered off. Locate the Failsafe button, typically on the back or bottom of the radio. While holding this Failsafe button down, connect the Tango 2 to your computer using a USB-C cable. This action puts the radio into DFU (Device Firmware Update) mode, allowing it to be recognized by the software. Open TBS Agent X on your computer. Within the software, navigate to the “Firmware” or “Update” section. You should see an option to download and flash the latest stable firmware for the Tango 2. Selecting this option and proceeding will erase all custom settings, models, and configurations, effectively returning the radio to its original factory state. After the firmware flash is complete, disconnect the radio, and upon restarting, it will be as if it were brand new, ready for initial setup and binding.
