Drones could be used to puncture the boats of people smugglers before they make the treacherous journey across the English Channel, a Tory peer has suggested.
Hereditary peer Lord Lucas, known as the owner and publisher of the Good Schools Guide, touted the idea as the House of Lords discussed the UK’s future combat air capability.
