Does DJI Mavic Air 2s return to controller, make the drone return to control or last home point.

Flying a drone from the land and from a boat have some distinct differences. DJI offers an option to return to controller when updating the home point. What does that mean exactly?

This video was a test we did to see if my Mavic Air 2s would follow the controller when it was told to go home OR would it rather go to the last updated homepoint.
