DJI OSMO 360 Drone? vs Antigravity A1 – 8K 50fps or 249g?
Wait! DJI made a 360 drone as well?
Meet our home-brew DJI OSMO 360 Drone – it does exactly what the brand-new Antigravity A1 can do, but with one more trick up its sleeve: 50fps in 8K, so you can slow down action in the air!
Unlike the Antigravity A1, you don’t need to wait until the end of the year to get one – you can build this yourself today and enjoy the power of a 360 drone.

No matter how good the DJI OSMO 360 is , the lack of lens replacement is a major Issue
Now one just needs to engineer some light weight retractable legs to avoid an accidental missed capture, as the DJI camera doesn't have easily replaced lenses.
AT 3:45 ON DJI WE CAN SEE CARS MOVING BUT IN INSTA CUZ OF AGGRESIVE NOISE REDUCTION THERE ARE NO CARS ON THE ROADS LOL….
not considering optics quality and video processing on the device which are the 2 other main quality factor with the image sensor, the osmo360 sensor is a bit disappointing because if dji increased the sensor size over x5, they only increased the resolution by 28% over x5 (going from 72 to 120 mpix is only a 28% increase in resolution, we needed at least a 2x up in resolution to significantly increase image quality, as most shots are done in sunny outdoor conditions and not in low ight, i'd much prefer for osmo360 v2 they pick a smaller sensor but higher resolution, like a smaller 200mPix sensor like we have in smartphones)
But it's apparently not available until Jan 2026. DJI will have sold many Mini5 by then. Personally I'd sooner use my FPV drones for the stuff this claims to do.
Furthermore, to edit 8k footage most people don't realise they are going to need significant costly pc upgrades or a new pc altogether.
The 8k/50fps is misleading, because it is for the whole spherical field of view. A DJI Flip/Mini 4 Pro still has a much higher relative resolution if your targets are conventional displays like phones, TV-s, youtube, tiktok videos. Its has lots of advantages especially for rookies like me, who is not an expert cameraman, film director. Infinite reediting is the biggest help. Maybe the end products wont be as high quality as a pro drone pilot would do with a Mini 4-5Pro, but even they could use it. I hope this would be an extra fuel for making contents for VR/AR googles.
Hugh, of course the new Antigravity drone will fail. DJI just released a 360 camera and their new 360 drone is most likely nearly finished. It will use the same controller and DJI ecosphere we are all used to and have bought into. I'm not buying a new controller and accessories for a drone with a different flight control system. etc., when I can buy from DJI (I own 2 of their drones already). My prediction is that DJI will have a drone with both a gimbal 4k/6k camera plus 360. They will bury Antigravity.
hey hey, any idea if your mount works for mavic pro 4?
i agree, with the antigravity the front & rear shots will be in the stitch line, so would be great if a 4 camera version was available covering all 4 sides =) would be heavier of course, so hopefully a software update can stitch it nicer.
Would you put the 3d camera on a drone, please? It is amazing to watch the flight view in 3d. Thanks.
Is the "look up" part simulated?
that's a fun compare!
I'm a simple man. When Hou reviews a drone or 180/360 camera, I listen. You're not going to find anyone better on YouTube.
Graded D-LOg vs the worst setting on x5 – Adaptive tone 👎👎👎 another bad bias review 👎👎👎 will never watch this channel again 👎👎
I rather have the seam line visible at short distances than having the drone IN THE SHOT!
I use the Insta360 SPHERE camera on my DJI Air 2S. 5.7K works fine in good sunlight. I'll keep doing this until the AntiGravity comes out (with a console with sticks!!).
Great vid. Where can I get this blue mount you're using?
Great vid Hugh!! … I will wait for A2 they always solve all the tiny things later. Also we do need higher framerate for the A1 this is what will make their shots outstanding… It is indeed great that they are now competing to level up! ))) 🎉❤
Kimchi zoom sold me. 😅
With Antigravity, no need to patch the sky.
Is there a Premiere Pro, Final Cut or Davinci Resolve tool that use AI and can patch the sky automatically?
wanted do that when i buy my 360 camera but on the mini 4 pro ,hope it hold the weight but i think it can handel it, it have mounts for action 5 pro and thous have around the same weights
Hey bro, i am waiting for the antigravity drone. Do you know if its easy to remove the drone if you put an Osmo 360 camera on top and under the drone? So two Osmo 360s. Or is this very tedious? I can attach one Osmo 360 under my Mavic 4 pro creator version and clone it out with your techniques but wonder if two cameras would make it easier.
Cool mount Hugh, but how can the video look up when the drone is right above the 360 camera? The drone is definitely not on its blind spot.
Hi Hough, good to see another drone Mount video 😅
FYI the aliasing problem seems to be only in the Mac version of Studio. If I export the same video on Windows, the aliasing is not present. Maybe give it a try. With that in mind, I hope I will be fixed soon.
