Swarma is one of the companies developing complex software programs that allow multiple AI-driven drones to form interconnected swarms that communicate with each other. These devices would be immune to frequency jams and could make instantaneous decisions on the battlefield, with humans only stepping in to green light automated strikes.
Tests are also ongoing to create a hive mind for these drones in such a way that if one of them is hit the others instantaneously attack to defend their fallen compatriot, and all without human intervention. It would be like finishing one bee and finding the entire hive chasing after you. These intelligent aerial vehicles could even choose to sacrifice some drones as a distraction, while the others place themselves in strategic locations to eliminate targets. One of the engineers working on this project shared that the faster response time is what would make these synchronized drone attacks more powerful, but also more scary.
