The Joe Biden administration has cited national security risks associated with such vehicles. This move would effectively ban the Chinese vehicles from the American market. The curbs would also be applied on the vehicles which are assembled in the US but the parts are manufactured in China. This is the latest flashpoint in the US-China trade war.
