The Israeli military has reportedly tightened security of the Nevatim Airbase commander after foiling an Iranian-backed plot to assassinate him. Channel 12 News reported that the target of the plot was Brigadier General Yotam Sigler. According to a Times of Israel report quoting an IDF official’s statement to Iran International, the security arrangements for the commander are “not standard procedure” and are similar to those provided for high-ranking officials like the IDF’s chief of staff.
