Thank you for giving me back over 24 square feet of shop space, good luck with the winch rebuild!!
AND – bonus – you got to meet Charlie (and probably throw a stick MANY TIMES)!
I have a RD4 just a few minutes from the Evergreen museum. It's something I saved from the scrapper that I thought I'd use to winch a few trees away from my cabin, and push a little dirt, but never done anything with it. Probably should sell it. I would have liked to meet you, being so close! I really enjoy your channel.
Very cool! 💥 💥
The Clark airborne dozers landed in the plane or glider, they were not parachuted out of a plane. Planes in WWII were not designed to drop anything that large.
Matt and Charlie are classic. Charlie has a bone/stick problem. He's silly.
We have an '04 F350 duelly 6.0 the very same color as yours. They are nice trucks when running correctly.
Great change of pace type of video.
Never pass up a chance to stock up on discount cookies.
Watched every episode of the dozer rebuild
Hey Matt – a couple of real pros.
You literally drove through my neck of the woods. I only live about 20 minutes south of Pepperidge farms. In Southeast Idaho
Sorry I'm burden in im from Washing State thank you home sick but this is so cool
Two of my favorite YT channels..Sounds like a great winter project..
So cool you met up with @PacificNorthwestHillbilly. He seems like such a great guy.
Nice trip
Good video
Great crossover. Nice to see more of Matt and Charlie!
Thanks for the aviation museum tour. I saw the flying boat as it was being disassembled in Long Beach (30 years ago). Very interesting for an A&P mechanic.
As far as the D-4s… I’m torn between Indiana Jones’s, “that belongs in a museum!” Or, “that belongs pulling a potato harvester in Colorado!” I favor the later.
Thanks for taking us on the road with you. Always entertaining!
… if Cats had wings, there'd be another D4 and winch in your collection… 130's have STOL rating correct?
Nice video, so cool you had a meet up with Matt and got to see his projects. 👍
The Clarks Airborne, usually with the towed scraper, was a tool for particular job. It was able to be air freighted in and repair runways that had been knocked out of shape by enemy action – or even by your own action before you took possession of the airfield.
Thanks for another great video ride along. It's the farthest I ever gone without a restroom break. Say high to Jolene from Dawn and me. Always enjoy seeing her smiling face on your. chasnel
Matt was originally going to give that winch to Matt at Salvage Workshop in Illinois. My wife and I were going to make a US 30 road trip from Astoria, Oregon to Atlantic City, New Jersey, and I offered to haul that thing to Illinois since we were going right by there, sort of. We ended up not making the trip, and PNWH Matt said SW Matt was going to come get it. It all worked out in the end. It will be fun to watch it get overhauled and mounted on Carl.
Congrats on the new addition Hyster. That’s a bad feeling to be on the road and have truck start acting up. Lord I even carry a spare fuel pump for my old F350 V10 and at least two spare coil packs. Seems those V10’s eat them whenever they feel like it lord knows they don’t pass many fuel stops.
Their discounted cookies so the fat content will be discounted (less) too so its ok LOL
I was there in 2022
Nice road trip, I need to get out and do the same. :)
As soon as I saw the title I knew where you were going. It's good when collectors help each other out with parts.
I've found a pallet jack is one of the best tools in the shed. I stack parts on pallets as I take them off and then they are all in one place and I can move them around as and when needed and save the back.
