2:23 Allstate wants to put a tracker in your car so they can monitor how you drive, stop too suddenly, go too fast, anything to raise your rates. All while attempting to convinve you It's for your benefit. It's a blatant violation of privacy and nothing but risk management.
Some trees are protected near under wetlands. Cape Cod especially.
this is a scam so banks can steal your house
You think they would be doing this if they thought it was breaking any law? Seriously? Obviously they checked the laws and found it was legally in their rights as an insurer. Not saying I like it but they are not violating any rights. Obviously.
Would they be allowed to stand on the street and take pictures of your house without your permission? Is it breaking any law to take aerial pictures of a house that you insure? That's all I care about.
All new and renewed policy details will include random drone inspections
Corporations always win in the US.They control the politicians!
That should not be legal you should have some expectations of privacy on your property
It's easier to get air rights for your home than you might think. Do that and when the insurance company flys over sue them for trespassing.
insurance is a complete and total scam.
Not legal!!
They been doing this since the first Pumpkin Spice Palpatine administration.
Nothing a jammer can't fix.
I worked at a call center for home improvements. Most of my calls were for roof replacement. They ALL HAD ROOF INSURANCE BUT STILL NEEDED TO PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR US TO COME BY AND REPLACE THEIR ROOFS. They all had different reasons why their insurance denied their claims. Some of them had roofs that were perfectly ok but were FORCED by their own insurance to replace them, OUT OF THEIR OWN POCKETS, or lose the insurance.
I have a drone with a zoom of 56x. I don't even need to be close to your house. You'll never see or hear me.
Let them cancel. The mortgage company should be pay the insurance instead of you anyway. They have a vested interest in the property just as much as the payee.
When did Insurance companies turn into HOA Karen's?
Why do women complain about such common sence issues to protect their home..yall just don’t see the world men do.
This will crush low & fixed income families!
Insurance companies need to be SUED for doing this
Of course they use AI. Too lazy to do the job themselves. AI may be future but they ain’t smart if image is from one view.
They took our jobs!
It happened to us here, Massachusetts, we had to trim all the trees. The insurance agency was flying. A drone over our home
Haa
They should notify when they schedule this. No different when they send out their appraiser.
They started that crap in California a couple of years ago.
You can vote on it all you want, but the insurance company are gonna do whatever they want
This happened to me. I told them they couldn't on my property without me being present. They came when I wasn't there and I cancelled my policy and got a new one for cheaper with more coverage. My brothers and children all did the same thing when they heard what happened to me. 7 policies gone and not one of us ever made a claim.
I own the airspace above my house that's privacy concerns they are trespassing above my property and they are taking photos and video of my property I would contact the police department and show them the evidence of them violating your privacy because this is very concerning they're going over privacy fences and taking photos and video
CAN INSURANCE COMPANIES BE SUED FOR INVADING HOMEOWNERS PRIVACY ????
Trimming trees can cost thousands.
A decent pellet gun is only $300…
Noooo way. Anyone with part 107 isn't going to jeopardize this due to privacy laws and if there not part 107 they are illegally operating the drone.
Seems like home owners is slowly turning into health insurance coverage. Always looking for ways to cancel or not cover
“Lowering the cost of insurance long term”????? in my entire insurance buying lifetime. I don’t ever recall a single instance where insurance got cheaper. As insurance companies have gotten bigger all they do is raise the price.
People are getting lazy!
BOYCOTT CBS
That’s illegal and needs to be dealt with in court
Make sure you cut down or remove the wonderful trees that provide shade and reduce the use of polluting air conditioners. 😡 Goodbye freedom, hello police state.
Drones being used by insurance companies to inspect properties without homeowners knowing
Constitution of the United States
Fourth Amendment
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
It’s time to start setting up something that’ll stop drone from flying over your house
Invasion of privacy Act the people need to start suing the insurance companies for invasion of privacy. They make enough money off of people that they don’t need to do this.
Next they will fly bigger drones with a huge down wash to test the shingles on your roof.
Really folks? Why so much hate toward clever insurance carriers? Less risk to them means less premium cost for the rest of us who take good care of their properties. Would you write a policy for your neighbors house if there were trees over the roof? Insurance is a business, and they are there to make money. There needs to be some transparency and due process, and that law maker was spot on with his assessment. I am not siding with insurance companies, I am siding with lower premiums!
Unfortunately, being a good customer is starting to not be enough for these insurance companies anymore. With the increase in weather extremes, including more hurricanes, more storms, more floods, and the skyrocketing increase in cost to repair or replace, these insurance companies are finding the littlest things to drop people for. If your residence is not ideal-looking (in the eye of the insurance company), they might drop you.
You should look at the contract and terms before you click the box and accept.
These scumbags will do anything to not cover you
Check your laws. Some states mandate that you own the airspace over your property and that you can sue for trespass.
John Rambo and Yosemite Sam
These companies are doing loss dumping to reduce risk of loss for this company to pass it one to another.
Total bs, period
